Press Registration for ISMB 2000

Qualified members of the press and editorial community will receive a complimentary registration to ISMB 2000 and one tutorial. Registration also includes a pass to the evening at the San Diego Zoo. Press representatives are responsible for arranging their own housing and travel (including airport shuttle).

To register, please contact ISMB 2000 Media Coordinator for credential verification. Advance registration is strongly encouraged and will mean less time waiting in line at the conference.

Registration Limit: A limit of two media/analyst passes will be issued per organization.

Seminar for Press - Introduction to Bioinformatics - August 21

If you are new to the exciting field of bioinformatics, SDSC and UCSD will be hosting a half-day seminar August 21 for press representatives, covering the basics of bioinformatics. This seminar will provide you with an introduction and overview to the field, taught by scientists at SDSC and UCSD. Learn from our experts to get a leg up on the topics discussed at ISMB 2000. More details (including time) will be available soon.

ISMB 2000 Press Releases

Press Qualifications

You must be a reporter, writer, editor, publisher, photographer, or videographer assigned by a local, regional, national, or international publication to cover ISMB 2000. Qualified media representatives will be registered at no cost. Qualified media representatives meet one of the following criteria:

  • Full-time employees of media organizations must present a press pass, business card, or a letter on company letterhead from a supervisor confirming the registrant is on assignment to cover ISMB 2000.
  • Freelance writers, photographers, or videographers must verify they have been retained to cover ISMB 2000 by presenting an official letter from a recognized news organization or a publication related to the molecular biology industry. Alternately, you may present clips of published articles you have written about past ISMB conferences.
