Call for software demo proposals: DEADLINE: Monday 14 May 2004

The purpose of ISMB/ECCB 2004 Software Demos is to allow organizations and individuals to demonstrate, in private rooms, software and/or hardware that is relevant to the molecular biology community. Demonstration times will be scheduled throughout the conference and are open to corporations, non-profit organizations, government labs, and university staff and students.

Software Demonstration Benefits

  • Up to 2 hours of demonstration time (scheduled by the ISMB/ECCB 2004 local organizing committee)
  • Listing in the conference program, including your demonstration time in the main schedule and a 100-word summary in a special section of the program book
  • Private demonstration room

Industry/Corporate Demos (for more information, click here)
In order to run a corporate demo, you must pay US$3,000 and complete the SIGN UP FORM. Platinum, gold and silver sponsors are given a demo slots as part of their sponsorship package; see the sponsorship packages page for more information.

Non-profit Demos NOTE: non-profit/student demo times are full
There is no charge to run a non-profit demo.

Each demo will be allotted a 1-hour slot or a 2-hour slot; the last 10 minutes of each slot will be reserved for preparation of the next demo, giving you 50 minutes, or 1 hour 50 minutes, respectively, in which to give your demo. We regret that we cannot accommodate demos that are longer than 2 hours. Within your time slot, you are at liberty to demonstrate your software in any (legal!) way that you see fit: for example, you can combine one or more structured talks with live demos and question-and-answer sessions. We encourage you to provide handouts for attendees.

For non-profit demos, slots will be filled on first-come, first-served basis.

For corporate demos, major sponsors will be given precedence.
