| Postdoctoral position in biomolecular modeling |

A postdoctoral research position is available immediately in the area of computational structural biology at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. General research interests of the lab include algorithm development for biomolecular modeling, peptide and protein docking, and machine learning in structural bioinformatics. Current projects involve using molecular mechanics docking simulations to predict peptide-MHC binding affinities and transmembrane helix packing in membrane proteins. The ideal candidate will have received a Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, or Biophysics and have a strong publication record. Required skills include experience in biomolecular simulations, familiarity with Unix/Linux, and programming in a scripting language (Python or Perl). Other desirable skills are: homology modeling, machine learning, and C++ programming. Opportunities exist for interactions with researchers at other Mayo Clinic campuses and Arizona State University. Exceptional candidates from other backgrounds who have biomolecular modeling experience will also be considered.
