| Candidates with computational, experimental and/or software engineering experience, with PhDs in relevant fields, are needed to build a nation-wide research consortium aimed to radically improve the quality and coverage of gene function annotation using computational predictions and experimental assays. Multiple positions are available at Boston University, Columbia University and University of Maryland.. These positions are part of a recent NIH Grand Opportunity Award, entitled SciBay: A New Methodology for Scientific Collaboration and Gene Function Determination. The goal is to catalyze experimental validation of gene function for genes with no known function in bacterial genomes. The positions are available immediately.
