Postdoctoral Position in Bioinformatics and Genomics

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the area of computational genomics and bioinformatics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Specifically, the research will be in the area of data integration using machine learning and data mining approaches. The project can be focused on either method development or method application, but with the overall biological goals of understanding the emergence, evolution, and dynamic regulation of gene expression in mammalian systems. We seek a highly motivated individual with good experience in computational biology, bioinformatics and data modeling. An ideal candidate should have strong programming and data mining skills. Knowledge of biological principles, statistics, and especially in high-throughput sequencing data (e.g., ChIP-Seq) from next-generation technology will be a plus. The successful candidate is expected to work closely with biological experimentalists, who have strong research interests in neuronal development, neurodegenerative diseases, and other human diseases.

The applicant must have a Ph.D. in life science, statistics, or compute science.
