ISCB to Host Open Meeting During PSB 2004

The Pacific Symposium on Biocomputing (PSB 2004) will take place January 6 - 10 on the Big Island of Hawaii. As has become an annual tradition, ISCB will host an Open Meeting during the conference for members and anyone interested in learning more about the Society.

ISCB president, Michael Gribskov, will address the group with a recap of 2003’s activities and accomplishments, and introduce major initiatives of the Society’s new strategic plan. This will be followed by an interactive Q&A session, in which several members of the ISCB board of directors will be on hand to answer questions. This session always proves to surface very candid responses to the activities and programs of the ISCB, and we encourage a brainstorming atmosphere to help develop ideas on what our members want and need from their Society.

We hope you will be attending PSB, and if so, be sure to mark your calendar now to attend the ISCB meeting. It will be held on Wednesday evening, January 7th at 8:30pm, following a cocktail party hosted by the Biopathways SIG. We look forward to seeing you there!
