The Star Alliance™ Members Airlines are pleased to be appointed as the Official Airline Network for ISMB 2012 and is offering delegates discounted air travel to attend the conference. A list of participating airlines is noted below. Delegates can enjoy discounts of up to 20% on airfares, depending on the type of fare you choose.

Star Alliance now has an online booking tool for delegates to use.  It’s the most efficient way to book and the discounts are applied automatically.  The online booking website can be found at: www.staralliance.com/conventionsplus  Delegates then enter your code UA08S12.  The search engine will give you the option to choose a specific airline or search fares on all participating carriers. 

For International Traveler’s the most usual airport to fly to is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) which is about 25 minutes drive to Long Beach.

Domestic travelers might consider choosing Long Beach Airport (LGB) which is the most convenient center for air travel into the Los Angeles/ Orange County area. In 2011, Long Beach Airport was named Most Affordable Airport in the United States by Cheapflights.com. John Wayne Airport (SNA) in Orange County is also an option for travellers and is also about 25 minutes drive to Long Beach.

Registered participants plus one accompanying person travelling to the event are automatically granted a discount of up to 20%, depending on fare and class of travel booked.

Discounts are offered on published business and economy class fares, excluding website/internet fares, senior and youth fares, group fares and Round the World fares. No discount is available for flights between Singapore and Juala Lumpur and between Singapore and India.
