Opening Reception with Exhibitors

Visit with conference exhibitors and join delegates following the opening keynote in this informal networking event. The opening reception is open to registered full-conference delegates and those registered for the first two days of the conference.

Markthalle Networking and Social

Tuesday July 23, 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Join delegates on Tuesday, July 23 for an evening of informal networking and fun.

We will gather at Basel’s Markthalle beginning at 8:00 pm. The evening is open to delegates and guests. Please note delegates are responsible for their own food and beverages purchases. Over 20 vendors will be available offering a variety of food styles and beverage options. While most vendors accept credit cards not all do. There is an ATM located at the venue for your convenience.

No participation fee is required! PLEASE note you do not need to present a ticket to enter the venue but please bring your name badge. Event is available for all conference delegates.  If you have children (under 18) attending they are welcome to join you).

 

The venue will have areas identified by COSI groups where delegates can look for colleagues to network with that have similar scientific interests. 

Delegates can travel to Markthalle by tram using their Basel card.

The restaurant is about a 20 minute walk, or 10 minute tram ride* from the Congress Center Basel.

*(remember your reservation at a Basel hotel includes the “Mobility Ticket” which allows you to use the public transportation system free of charge. The ticket will be handed out to you upon arrival at the hotel and is valid for the duration of your stay)
