Student Council Events at ISMB 2006

The Student Council has once again organized a series of events and activities at ISMB. The major event will be the 2nd ISCB Student Council Symposium, to be held on August 6th. The symposium will be followed by a social event with dinner and plenty of networking opportunities in one of Fortaleza's fine traditional Brazilian restaurants.

During the ISCB Open Business Meeting on Monday the Student Council will present the winners of the symposium's "Best Poster" and "Best Paper" awards. A Student Council representative will also give a brief overview of the Student Council's mission and activities.

An in-depth discussion of these issues will follow on Tuesday during the Student Council Open Meeting. All ISMB delegates are welcome to attend this meeting to hear about the Student Council leadership's plan for the future. Everyone is invited to present their ideas, views and opinions about the Student Council.

Daily during lunchtime tables will be reserved in the restaurant at the convention center for Student Council members and everyone else interested. Student Council representatives will be available to answer any questions.

All details on the Student Council's ISMB activities can be found at www.iscbsc.org.
