Description

We are pleased to host the 5th Asian Young Researchers Conference on Computational and Omics Biology from Wednesday, August 10, 2011 and through Saturday, August 13.

AYRCOB is a major event for the Asia-wide computational and system biology community for young researchers (graduate students and postdocs). AYRCOB informs students about the most current topics and research results in computational, omics biology and its neighboring disciplines. Furthermore, it has serves to promote the scientific cross-talk and exchange in bringing the forefront of interdisciplinary researchers together. In all, we aim to advance and further interconnect the computational and omics biology community.

The 2011 conference will address a broad range of hot and current topics in computational and omics biology research. The major interest will be the impact of biocomplexity in molecular dynamics, evolution, structural biology, proteomics and network biology, as well as the integration of emerging technologies such as next-generation sequencing. Most of all, our registration is open and free of cost.

The Keynote Speaker

Dr. Sang Yup Lee, Ph.D. / Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology

Invited Speakers

Dr. Daehyun Baek, Ph.D. / Seoul National University

Dr. Daehee Hwang, Ph.D./ Pohang University of Science and Technology

Dr. Francois Taddei, Ph.D. /INSERM/CRI

Dr. Katsuhiko Shirahige, Ph.D. / The University of Tokyo

Dr. Ken Sung, Ph.D. / Genome Institute of Singapore

Dr. Kou-Bin Le, Ph.D. / National Yang-Ming University

We encourage registering abstracts to contain new and published (high track)/unpublished materials. The abstract must be submitted electronically by the abstract deadline. The organizers and advisors of the review committee will make a selection of the applied materials for an oral and poster presentation. An announcement of the final selections (oral presentation/poster) of abstracts will be posted on our website as soon as the organizers and advisors have made decisions.

Grant

We are eager to have as many young researchers (graduated and postdocs) to attend since the conference would be of their future advantages. Only a certain number of presentations by graduate students and postdocs in this conference will be selected for (full/partial) grant support.

We look forward to seeing you at Deajeon in August 2011.
