Description |
|
The course will consist of six days of lectures and practical work. The course will begin by discussing how to analyse data from next generation sequencing (ChipSeq experiments) and microarray experiments. Next, it will illustrate how to analyse a gene and a protein sequence, with a special session dedicated to membrane proteins, and, finally, how to model a three-dimensional structure of a protein by homology. The lectures and practicals will not assume any prior knowledge of bioinformatics and only freely available and accessible tools will be used. The final aim is to allow students to analyse their own data in their own lab after attending the course. |
