| Who should attend: students majoring in a mathematical or computational science The intellectual focus of the program is mathematical systems biology. Specifically, students’ 2012 research projects will include two different but related areas: (1) Mathematical modeling of mammalian iron metabolism. (2) Mathematical algorithms and software for modeling and simulation in systems biology. VBI is a multidisciplinary research institute integrating quantitative and experimental approaches to biological systems. |
