Description
 
This four-day symposium, titled “Translating Science to Better Health: The Power of Diversity and Multicultural Engagement” has been designed to offer participants an opportunity to share research information in areas related to cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity, cancer, women’s health, mental health, infectious disease, stroke, and behavioral and social health. This collaborative effort, expected to draw nearly 1000 participants with more than 800 abstract submissions, is sponsored by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), National Institutes of Health (NIH) Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and hosted by the RCMI Programs at Ponce School of Medicine, Universidad Central del Caribe, and University of Puerto Rico-Medical Sciences Campus.
