REU Site: Modeling and Simulation in Systems Biology (MSSB) Who should attend: students majoring in a mathematical or computational science The intellectual focus of the program is mathematical systems biology. Participants will be able to experience a wide range of modeling approaches and application domains, and will be immersed in intense, multi-faceted research programs in mathematical science. The program is hosted at the Center for Quantitative Medicine at UConn Health. The University of Connecticut Health Center, Center for Quantitative Medicine is a research center that brings together expertise ranging from computational biology and bioinformatics to statistics and health informatics, with a heavy emphasis on mathematical methods underpinning those fields.
