The International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB) in partnership with George Mason University, George Washington University, and Georgetown University, is pleased to announce the inaugural Youth Bioinformatics Symposium (ISCB-YBS), Exploring Computational Biology, June 5, 2016, at George Mason University from 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

This complimentary event is open to all middle and high school students. This engaging one-day event will introduce students to the amazing world of computational biology, allow them to engage with and learn about three popular tools used in research in our hands-on workshop, inform them of the many career areas that bioinformatics is now appearing in, and spark the spirit of competition in our team-based mini science challenges.
