Germany - Heidelberg |
|
Hosted by: | EMBL |
Venue: | EMBL |
Dates: | Dec 03, 2018 through Dec 07, 2018 |
Description |
|
The course will introduce state-of-the art modeling and experimental tools for discovering and analyzing species interactions in microbial communities, with a particular focus on metabolic dependencies. The course will run over a period of four days, each day divided between a morning session with theory and an afternoon session with practical work. In the morning session, a leading expert in the field presents background information, key concepts and computational/experimental methods. This lecture module is followed by a round-table discussion chaired by the speaker. The concepts are then introduced in more detail by the speaker or by one of the organizing instructors. Afternoon sessions, supervised by the instructors and teaching assistants, are dedicated to extensive practical work in wet as well as dry lab. | |
