Description

The Institute of Biocomputation and Physics of Complex Systems organizes the first of a series of biennial international conferences gathering experts from the academic and business sectors. The upcoming conference will focus on debating the current status of Biology in the post-genome era and the contribution of Physics to the scientific advancement in this era. Representative topics include: protein folding; genomic identification of targets for drug discovery; application of computational tools to the drug discovery process; dedicated computing; connections of biocomputation to other fields; theoretical tools for protein/protein interaction prediction; physical bases of protein stability and ligand binding; computational Complexity. A special issue of Biophysical Chemistry will be published with the communications presented at the conference.
