7th Community Wide Experiment on the Critical Assessment of Techniques for Protein Structure Prediction
United States - CA - Pacific Grove

Hosted by: National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIH/NIGMS)
Venue: Asilomar Conference Center
Dates: Nov 26, 2006 through Nov 30, 2006

Description

The meeting will bring together computational biologists interested in methods of identifying protein structure from sequence. CASP is dedicated to providing the means of objective testing of these methods via the process of blind prediction. The meeting aims at establishing the current state of the art, identifying what progress has been made, and highlighting where future effort may be most productively focused. Speakers will include predictors using the most successful and interesting approaches to the problem.
