Description |
|
Microarray technology represents a rapidly growing field. It allows the detection of expression of thousands of genes, or the analysis of thousands of sequence variants, simultaneously. The application of microarrays leads to the identification of complex genetic diseases; drug discovery and toxicology studies; mutation and polymorphism detection (SNPs); pathogen analysis; and differing expression of genes over time, between tissues and disease states. This one week intensive course is designed to familiarize the student with microarray technologies and their applications in the pharmaceutical industry so that they would be able to design and analyse microarray experiments. | |
