WABI 2002: 2nd Workshop on Algorithms in Bioinformatics | |
Italy - Rome |
|
Hosted by: | European Association for Theoretical Computer Science |
Venue: | University of Rome La Sapienza |
Dates: | Sep 16, 2002 through Sep 21, 2002 |
Description |
|
The Workshop on Algorithms in Bioinformatics covers research in all aspects of algorithmic work in bioinformatics and computational biology. The emphasis is on discrete algorithms, that address important problems in molecular biology, genomics and genetics that are founded on sound models, that are computationally efficient, and that have been implemented and tested in simulations and on real datasets. The goal is to present recent research results, including significant work-in-progress, and to identify and explore directions of future research. WABI 2002 will be held in conjunction with ESA 2002 and APPROX 2002. The three conferences are jointly called ALGO 2002, and will take place in Rome, Italy, September 16-21, 2002. The conferences will be held at the School of Engineering, University of Rome "La Sapienza". WABI 2001 was sponsored by EATCS (the European Association for Theoretical Computer Science) and jointly organized and colocated with WAE 2001 and ESA 2001 in the context of ALGO 2001.
