Publication Options Information - Accepted full length papers will be considered for publication in either IEEE Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics or in GigaScience. Submission instructions: Initial full paper submissions to GLBIO 2015 should follow either IEEE Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (TCBB) or GigaScience guidelines. During the submission process, the authors will have the option to choose one of the two journals as a preferred mode for publication of their accepted paper. There is no guarantee that authors will be granted publication with their preferred publication mode. The final decision will be made by the GLBIO 2015 Proceedings Chairs and will depend on the number of accepted papers and their relevance to these corresponding journals.

Authors of accepted GLBIO 2015 papers who intend to submit toTCBB or GigaScience are expected to address the reviewers’ comments received during the GLBIO review process prior to journal submissionThen, such revised papers will be subject to additional peer review by the journal. For TCBB, the GLBIO 2015 Proceedings Chairs will act as guest editors for the journal and thus coordinate all aspects of the additional review. For GigaScience, it is the GigaScience editorial staff that will handle the additional reviews and make final publication decisions, typically in consultation with the GLBIO 2015 Proceedings Chairs.

Authors are responsible for any fees or expenses in regards to the journal publication of their paper. TCBB offers two models that authors can choose from: 1) no charge, allowing for paper access only to journal subscribers, or 2) $1,750 USD publication fee charge, allowing for open access. GigaScience offers the following: the best 20% of the papers will be charged no publication fee, and all other accepted papers will be given 15% publication fee discount (depending on the total number of accepted papers); GigaScience’s current publication fee is 1,250 GBP.

For authors interested in publishing their accepted GLBIO 2015 paper in TCBB, please see this page for details on submission guidelines: www.computer.org/portal/web/tcbb/author

For authors interested in publishing their accepted GLBIO 2015 paper in GigaScience, please see this page for details on submission guidelines:  www.gigasciencejournal.com/authors/instructions
