ISCB Honors Six Members as New Fellows

This month the ISCB Fellows Committee named six members as Fellows of ISCB. Five were selected from among nominations submitted by our membership, plus the 2010 ISCB Accomplishment by a Senior Scientist Award winner, who is automatically bestowed the honor. These distinguished members will be recognized for their contributions to accelerating the pace of computational biology and bioinformatics during the ISMB 2010 conference in Boston. All Fellows will receive a certificate and a pin as a symbol of the inspiring accomplishments that have earned them this distinction.

The 2010 Class of Fellows is:

    Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA
  • Gary Stormo, Washington University in St. Louis, USA
  • Alfonso Valencia, Spanish National Cancer Research Centre and Spanish National Bioinformatics Institute, Madrid, Spain
