Before registering please review the details below outlining the various components of the ISMB/ECCB conference.

ISMB/ECCB 2017 has a new program format and registration options reflect these changes. The most affordable conference registration option is to register for the full four day conference. You can however register for a two day only option (July 22 and July 23 or July 24 and July 25). If you register for July 22 & 23 you are invited to participate in the July 21 opening reception and keynote.

When you register please ensure that you select your preferred program options from the list of Communities of Special Interest (COSI) or Other program options.

Registration fees are in $US and includes Value Added Tax.

Please note online registration closes Thursday, June 29, 2017, 11:00 p.m. Pacific Time Zone. After this point only on-site registration will be available at the conference registration desk at the Prague Congress Centre. All early and online registration discounts are expired for on-site registration.

*Please note - An electronic version of the conference proceedings is available as an open access, online-only issue of Bioinformatics. The conference proceedings will not be available in print. Delegates wanting printed copies of papers are encouraged to print the papers they are interested in prior to the conference by accessing the online proceedings. Details for accessing the online version will be posted on the conference home page on or after July 15, 2017.

VAT is a general, broadly based consumption tax assessed on the value added to goods and services. It applies more or less to all goods and services that are bought and sold for use or consumption in the European Union. ISCB is seen as a service provider and is obliged to follow the tax laws of the country in which ISMB is being held. VAT collected is paid directly to the resident country where ISMB is held. Residents of the EU may reclaim VAT by working directly with their institutions.

NON-MEMBERS OF ISCB: Save money by becoming a member of ISCB. We suggest you purchase your membership at https://www.iscb.org/iscb-membership Alternatively you can purchase membership through the online registration system but please note VAT will be charged on memberships purchased during registration.

ISCB MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL: If your ISCB membership is not current or will expire on or before July 25, 2017, you will be offered an opportunity to renew your membership as part of your registration fees through the online system. Please note that VAT will be charged on memberships purchased during registration. You may wish to purchase membership at http://www.iscb.org/membership.shtml to avoid VAT payment on the membership.

Group Registration - please read carefully BEFORE your group registers!

Register a minimum of six (6) and receive one (1) additional registration for free - a minimum value of $574.75 (includes VAT)*- Offer valid until May 15, 2017. Applies to full conference (4 day registration only).

Individuals from the same lab or organization have an opportunity to receive a 7th conference registration free when registering as a group.

ISMB/ECCB 2017 conference fees are charged in $US. The conference is required to charge VAT of 21%.

PLEASE note a $25 wire administration fee will be added during registration for those choosing to pay by wire transfer. The Czech Republic has been a member of the European Union since 2004. Inhabitants of the EU require passports or other form of valid identification in order to enter the country. The same applies for the citizens of Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway or Switzerland, who can move freely within the European Union.

Visitors from other countries must have passports valid for at least further six months after the date of arrival and in some cases visa. The list of countries whose citizens require a visa in order to visit the Czech Republic can be found here.

The Czech Republic is a member of the Schengen agreement. Inhabitants of the Schengen countries can move freely within the Schengen area without having to go through border checkpoints. However, they still must have their passports or identification cards with them when travelling.

Invitation letters required for visa applications will be sent with your confirmation after registration and full payment have been received. You must be registered and paid-in-full for the conference in order to receive an invitation letter. IMPORTANT: If you require a visa for entrance register early, it can take time for your application to be processed - do not delay in submitting your visa application.

STUDENT COUNCIL SYMPOSIUM (SCS13) Website

The 13th ISCB Student Council Symposium (SCS13) is a student-organized event featuring keynote lectures, oral presentations and a poster session. In addition to previous years' schedules, a career event will be organized with a variety of distinguished speakers from industry and academia. The Symposium is tailored mainly to undergraduate and graduate students as well as post-docs in computational biology and related disciplines.

The Student Council Symposium is a forum for students and young researchers in the fields of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. Participants will have the opportunity to present their work to an international audience, build a network within the computational biology community and develop important soft skills in an environment that fosters exchange of ideas and knowledge.

The Student Council registration fee includes morning and afternoon coffee breaks and lunch.

Note: Student Council Symposium registrants are not required to register as delegates for the ISMB/ECCB 2017 conference and can instead choose to attend only the SCS13.

Friday, July 21

Delegates are invited to register for Tutorials held on Friday, July 21. The fee includes tutorial notes (electronic version) for the tutorial the delegate registers in. Lunch is included in the tutorial registration fee only for delegates registering for two half-day programs (1 morning, 1 afternoon session). Note: You must be registered for the ISMB/ECCB 2017 conference (full 4 days or day 1 &2) to attend a Tutorial.

TUTORIAL REGISTRATION PRICING (Friday, July 21)

*Cost: $42.35 ($35 + $7.35 VAT) Includes entrance, traditional Czech dinner and two drink tickets. Vegetarian options available. All proceeds from this fun evening supports the ISCB travel fellowship fund. Tickets are limited and can only be purchased in advance during on-line registration.

Join conference delegates for a fun evening in support of ISCB Travel Fellowships at U Fleků. The Brewery and Restaurant U Fleků is one of the most famous and most visited Czech cultural venues in Prague.

The first written document dates back to 1499 when the house was bought by maltster Vít Skřemenec. The brewery U Fleků is thus the only brewery in Central Europe which has been brewing continuously for over 500 years. The brewery was nationalised with the onset of the communist rule. The original owners, the Brtník family, regained the brewery and restaurant in 1991, after the fall of the regime. U Fleků is not only the most famous Czech restaurant, but also a pilgrimage site for all beer lovers, both Czech and foreign. The restaurant offers Old-Bohemian dishes with true Czech charm.

Conference proceedings will be available as an open access, online-only issue of Bioinformatics, and are not available in print. If you want printed proceedings it is recommended that you print copies of desired papers from the online proceedings in advance. Wireless internet services will be available throughout the conference facility, and a limited number of computer stations will be available for online viewing.

Refunds will be made in accordance with the following schedule.

• Cancellations received on or before May 15, 2017, will receive a full refund minus a $121.00 processing fee.
• Cancellations received from May 15, 2017 through June 14, 2017 will receive a full refund minus a $242.00 processing fee.
• No refund of fees will be made after June 15, 2017.
• All cancellation fees include VAT
