Registration for ISMB/ECCB 2023 conference is for the full conference. Participants can choose to register to join live in Lyon or virtually. Live from Lyon participants will have access to the virtual platform - ISCB Nucleus, the ISCB center for science, collaboration, and training.

When you register please ensure that you select your preferred programme options from the list of Communities of Special Interest (COSI) or other programme options.

Registration fees are in Euros and a 10% VAT rate is applied to all in-person registration. Certificates of participation will be available on-line following the conference for registered delegates who actively participated.

For a variety of reasons, ISCB/ECCB strongly prefers that scientific research accepted for oral presentation be presented in-person at the conference venue.  Of course, we understand that some presenters will have good reasons to avoid in-person attendance. ISCB/ECCB will grant remote presentation options for reasons associated to maternity/paternity leave, care for a family member, personal/medical disability, sickness, financial hardship, or potential visa problems.  If your research is accepted for oral presentation and you are unable to present in person, ISCB/ECCB requires notification at the time of acceptance. You will be asked during your confirmation of participation to confirm your in-person participation. If unable to participate you will need to request a waiver by writing This email address is being protected from spambots. Talks will be broadcast live through the virtual platform for participants.

All presenters will be required to provide a pre-recorded talk for the virtual platform library in advance of the conference. The pre-recorded talk will be available shortly after the live presentation to provide faster and more seamless access to the conference content for virtual participants.

Registration Fellowships

ISCB is pleased to offer conference (travel and registration) fellowships to any member in good standing with priority going to members from low or middle income countries as well as students and postdoctoral fellows to attend the ISMB/ECCB 2023 conference. Funding sources for Fellowships are very limited and we regret that we are not able to fund all applicants. The conference organizers are committed to providing support to as many eligible applicants as possible. Fellowship consideration is based on membership, accepted work to ISMB/ECCB 2023, and country economic status based on World Bank rankings.

ISCB Laboratory Registration

*ISCB Laboratory Member Rate: Available to ISCB Member Institutions or Labs. This is a new ISCB membership type effective March 2021. See ISCB membership categories at: https://www.iscb.org/become-a-member

**Laboratory Rate: Available to a group or lab where the lead registrant is an ISCB member. The additional 7 group registrants are not required to be members of ISCB. This registration category includes ISCB membership for any combination of up to 7 students or postdocs as part of the group.

The lead registrant will register the additional 7 members of the group at the time of registration.

 Student Council Symposium (Sunday, July 23)

The 19th ISCB Student Council Virtual Symposium (SCS19) is a student-organized event featuring keynote lectures, oral presentations and a poster session. The Symposium is tailored mainly to undergraduate and graduate students as well as post-docs in computational biology and related disciplines.

The Student Council Symposium is a forum for students and young researchers in the fields of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. Participants will have the opportunity to present their work to an international audience, build a network within the computational biology community and develop important soft skills in an environment that fosters an exchange of ideas and knowledge.

TUTORIALS

Tutorials will be offered as in-person in Lyon or virtually in advance of the conference. Details on tutorial programs can be found here: https://www.iscb.org/ismbeccb2023-programme/tutorials 

Note: You must be registered for the ISMB/ECCB 2023 conference to attend a tutorial.
Registration for tutorials will close July 6, 2023, if not already sold out. Register early to avoid disappointment. The full day rate is charged when taking two half-day in-person or two half-day virtual tutorials (does not apply if combining in-person and virtual tutorials). In-person tutorials will include lunch for those registering for a full day, or two half-day tutorials.

Conference delegates (available only to in-person conference participants) can purchase the ISMB/ECCB 2023 Conference tee shirt during online registration. These high-quality tee shirts can be pre-ordered online until June 15, 2023, at a cost of €15.00 + VAT each. (Please note tee shirts are not available for sale on-site).

CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS

Conference proceedings will be available as an open access, online-only special issue of Bioinformatics after July 10, 2023.

CANCELLATION POLICY

CONTROLLED ACCESS TO MEETING CONTENT

Only registered participants will have online access to the conference. Presenters concerned about unpublished data can request that specific slides not be shown. In exceptional cases, the presenter can request that none of their slides be provided online.
