of accepted demos will be notified by April 1,
2005. The 50-word summary will be printed in the
conference program, and the one-page abstract
will be posted on the conference web site. Academic
demos will be scheduled during a single 1-hour
slot.
Please
note: All software and data described in academic
demos must befree of cost and available without
restrictions on use or access to academic or non-profit
users, regardless of whether the submitters' employer
or home institution is a for-profit, non-profit,
or academic organization. Submitters may provide
their software under a license, retain intellectual
property rights to the code, and charge licensing
fees to "for-profit" users.
Format
Demos
will be scheduled in 1-hour slots; the last 10
minutes of each slot will be reserved for preparation
of the next demo, which gives you 50 minutes for
the presentation of your demo.
You will be provided with a Windows-based
desktop computer and Internet access. If you require
a different operating system, please bring
your own computer and contact the audiovisual
team at least 24 hours before you are due
to give your demo.
If you intend to use a Windows computer
provided by the conference for your demonstration,
please bring a CD containing any software and
presentation material that needs to be loaded,
or make your software and other material downloadable
via the internet.
Within your time slot, you are at
liberty to demonstrate your software in any way
that you see fit: for example, you can combine
one or more structured talks with live demos and
question-and-answer sessions. Authors should provide
handouts for attendees.
Major sponsors will be given precedence
for corporate demo slots.
Confirmation
Corporate
demonstration presenters will be contacted by
a ISMB 2005 Committee Member to arrange your demo
schedule and logistics following receipt of the
sign up form and payment.
Academic demonstration presenters
will be notified of acceptance by April
1, 2005, following review of the abstracts.
