Each year the members of ISCB are called upon to help steer the future direction of the Society by nominating those members who will serve as our future leaders. Nominations of members willing to stand for election to the Board of Directors are sought through May 9, 2008; nominations for current or past Board Members willing to stand for election to an Officer position are sought through August 6; and nominations for Student Council Leaders will take place from July 15 – August 15, 2008. Self nominations will not be accepted in any category. Election of new Board Members to fill six open seats will take place at the annual Board of Directors meeting prior to ISMB 2008 in Toronto; election of Officers and Student Council Leaders will take place through online voting of the membership September 15 – 26, 2008. All elected members will take office in January 2009.

Nominees will be sent an invitation to complete a candidate statement, which will serve as their acceptance of the nomination and provide valuable information during the endorsement and election periods.
