ISCB MEMBERS: If you are a current member of ISCB, you must use the email address you registered with ISCB in order to register at the discounted member rates through the online system. If you do not know the email address you used to register with ISCB, please send email to admin@iscb.org before proceeding with conference registration.

NON-MEMBERS OF ISCB: Non-members will be able to join ISCB through the ISMB/ECCB 2007 on-line conference registration system and immediately receive member rates for ISMB/ECCB 2007. You can either join when you register for the conference or you can join directly with ISCB here: http://www.iscb.org/cms_addon/conferences/membership.shtml

ISCB MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL: If your ISCB membership is not current or will expire on or before July 25, 2007, you will be offered an opportunity to renew your membership along with your registration fees through the online system.

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

To register via fax or mail, please print out the Registration Form (83 KB), complete the information and fax or mail to Mondial Congress and Events, the 2007 registration company. Credit cards accepted for registration are Diners Club, Mastercard or Visa. Checks are to be made payable to ISMB/ECCB 2007. For further information write to registration07@ismbconf.org

PAYMENT OPTIONS
ISMB/ECCB 2007 conference fees are charged in EURO.

WIRE TRANSFER

CHECK
If you are paying by check, your registration will not be activated until your check is received. Please print out your confirmation page at the end of the registration process and mail it with your check in order to ensure proper credit to your account. Checks must be made out to Mondial Congress & Events – ISMB/ECCB 2007.

Please note that checks should be payable in Euros and will drawn on a European bank. Any fees occurred by currency conversion or other check related charges will be passed on to the delegate.

Information:
Austrian Value Added Tax (VAT)
Conference rates include 10% VAT. Individuals registering as Corporate delegates (Entrepreneurs under Austrian Tax Law) are not required to pay VAT and registration rates do not include VAT. Please see below:

The VAT liability for registration fees for entrepreneurs is transferred to the registrant (reverse charge). Consequently in these cases the registration fee is charged without VAT. Entrepreneurs have to prove their status as being a taxable individual or entity for VAT purposes at the beginning of the conference at the latest either by presenting their VAT-identification number or by submission of a certificate of registration as taxable person (entrepreneur) issued by their tax office. If the entrepreneurship cannot be proved 10 % VAT has to be charged.
Delegates who are entrepreneurs can reclaim input-VAT with the Austrian tax authorities. ISCB will have to pay the charged VAT to the Austrian tax office but will not be involved in any reclaim procedures. ISCB will not take responsibility for the repayment through the Austrian tax authorities.

SATELLITE MEETING
Thursday, July 19 and Friday, July 20 (Satellite Meeting Website) ISMB/ECCB 2007 will host a two-day Satellite Meeting prior to the conference.
Note: Registrants are not required to register as delegates for the ISMB/ECCB 2007 conference to attend a Satellite Meeting. You may select “Satellite only” to register just for the 3Dsig Satellite Meeting. Satellite Meeting registration does not allow access to the SIG Meetings.

The registration fee for the Satellite Meeting includes Daily lunches and the 3Dsig Evening Session and Dinner. Each Satellite Meeting participant will receive a booklet that includes meeting notes. The Satellite Meeting will take place at the Austria Center Vienna.

3Dsig Evening Session and Dinner
On Thursday, July 19 3Dsig will host an evening session including a panel discussion and keynote speaker and dinner on a central topic to Structural Bioinformatics and Computational Biophysics. This session is included in the 3Dsig Satellite registration and has a separate registration price of 55€ for SIG delegates. Additional evening sessions tickets can be purchased when registering online.

The panel discussion will include audience participation, informal round-table discussions and interactions over a traditional Viennese dinner. For further details on 3Dsig Satellite Meeting see http://structure.bu.edu/3DSig/

SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP MEETINGS (SIGs)
Thursday, July 19 and Friday, July 20 (SIGs Website) ISMB/ECCB 2007 will host one-day and two-day Special Interest Group meetings prior to the conference.

Note: SIG Registrants are not required to register as delegates for the ISMB/ECCB 2007 conference to attend a SIG meeting. You may select “SIG only” to register just for a SIG.

Registering for a SIG allows you to move freely between all SIGs that take place at the same time as the meeting for which you are registered, to the extent that the room capacities can accommodate. SIG registration does not allow access to the Satellite Meeting.

Each SIG participant will receive a booklet that includes handouts from all SIGs and daily lunches are included.

Please register for the SIG in which you are most interested so that we can assign SIGs to larger and smaller rooms as appropriate. All SIG meetings will be held at the Austria Center Vienna.

NOTE: One-Day SIG registrants are able to participate in SIG meetings only on the day for which they have registered unless registering for two one-day SIG meetings.

TUTORIAL SESSIONS

Saturday, July 21
Individuals will be able to register for one or two 1/2 day optional tutorials. There will be 7 concurrent sessions in the morning and 7 concurrent sessions in the afternoon. Fee includes one hardcopy tutorial notes and one CD of all tutorials. Lunch is included in registration fee for delegates registering for two tutorials.

*Delegates attending one tutorial only have the option to purchase a lunch ticket during online registration for 33€.

Note: You must be registered for the ISMB/ECCB 2007 conference to attend a tutorial.

STUDENT COUNCIL SYMPOSIUM (SCS3)

Saturday, July 21
The 3rd ISCB Student Council Symposium is a student-organized event featuring keynote lectures, oral presentations and a poster session. In addition to previous years, a career event will be organized with a variety of distinguished speakers from industry and academia.

The Symposium is tailored mainly to undergraduate and graduate students as well as post-docs in computational biology and related disciplines. This is once again a unique opportunity to meet fellow students and researchers for networking and exchange of ideas in a great setting.

VIENNA PUBLIC TRANSIT PASSES
ISMB/ECCB Delegates can take advantage of discounted rate public transit passes during the conference. The passes are valid for all public means of transportation in Vienna.

Vienna Transit Passes are available for purchase during the conference using the online registration system up until June 1, 2007.

Delegates are required to sign their ticket and carry it with you while using the public transport system. Your ticket can be picked up at the registration desk together with all your conference material.

ATTENTION ALL ATTENDEES

Conference Proceedings:
Printed conference proceedings are available only by pre-purchase up until June 1, 2007. If you do not order printed proceedings it is recommended that you bring a laptop computer with you to ISMB/ECCB 2007 as the conference proceedings will only be distributed via CD. Conference proceedings will be available as an open access, online-only issue of Bioinformatics. Wireless internet services will be available throughout the conference facility, and a limited number of computer stations will be available for online viewing.

Travel Visa:
Citizens of all countries of the European Union, of Switzerland, Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Roumenia and Israel, of most of the countries of North and South America, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and some other countries need a valid travel document to enter Austria. (In some cases valid ID cards or passports that have been invalid for no longer than five years are still appropriate.)

When in doubt please make sure to contact the Austrian Consulate or Embassy before departure.

All refunds will be processed and mailed following the ISMB/ECCB 2007 Conference. Refunds will be made in accordance with the following schedule.

• Cancellations received on or before May 21, 2007, will receive a full refund minus a 100€ processing fee.
• Cancellations received from May 21, 2007 through June 21, 2007 will receive a full refund minus a 200€ processing fee.
• No refund of fees will be made after June 21, 2007.
