Computational Structural Bioinformatics Workshop (CSBW) will be held in conjunction with the IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine (BIBM 2009). The rapid accumulation of macromolecular structures presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities in analysis, modeling, and prediction of macromolecular structures and interactions. This workshop aims to bring together researchers with expertise in bioinformatics, computa-tional biology, structural biology, data mining, optimization and high performance computing to discuss recent results, new techniques, and open research problems in computational structural bioinformatics. Registration of the CSBW will enjoy the benefit of the main conference BIBM2009. Topics of Interest(listed below but not limited to) - Structure representation - Structure prediction - Structure alignment - Interaction and docking - Molecular dynamic simulations - Bio-molecular graphics - Coarse grained modeling - Data mining of structural data - Structural genomics - High performance computing in modeling - Graph theory applied to structural problems - Optimization in structural problems - Bio-molecular structure refinement - Structure-based drug design Important Dates of Workshop Submission of deadline: August 15, 2009 Notification of acceptance: September 10, 2009 Camera ready paper: September 17, 2009 Poster submission deadline: October 15, 2009 Submission Guidelines CSBW invites high quality original papers, including the regular papers and short papers (such as ones with maximum of 4-pages), on any computational development in structure related problems. Papers should use the two-column IEEE format. The papers will be published in a proceeding by IEEE. Selected papers will be invited for publication in a special issue of International Journal of Computational Biosciences. One of the authors of an accepted paper is required to register for the workshop and to give a presentation. Poster Session We will accept abstracts for a poster session to provide a greater communication than presentations.
