| RECOMB 2010 is the fourteenth in a series of well-established scientific conferences bridging the areas of computational, mathematical, and biological sciences. The conference features seven keynote talks by preeminent scientists in the life sciences, approximately 36 presentations of refereed research papers in computational biology, and additional special sessions consisting of presentations on emerging topics, highlights of recently published research by principle investigators, and eight selected posters. There will also be an active display of posters. The conference series aims at attracting research contributions in all areas of computational molecular biology, including: molecular sequence analysis; recognition of genes and regulatory elements; molecular evolution; protein structure; structural genomics; analysis of gene expression; biological networks; sequencing and genotyping technologies; drug design; probabilistic and combinatorial algorithms; systems biology; computational proteomics; structural and funcional genomics; information systems for computational biology and imaging. Accepted abstracts will be published as a proceedings volume in the Lecture Notes in Bioinformatics (LNBI) series from Springer-Verlag, which will be available at the conference. Selections of accepted papers will be invited for submission of full journal versions to special issues of either PLoS Computational Biology or Journal of Computational Biology devoted to RECOMB 2010. |
