'An Introduction to Bioinformatics: a practical approach' is a two day CPD short course taught by experts within the Bological Sciences department of Warwick University. The course is informal but intensive and combines lectures, covering background information, followed by extensive, hands-on practical sessions. Sessions include: Sequence information and file formats, Molecular biology databases, Finding genes, Database searching and pairwise alignment techniques, Protein domains, Multiple sequence alignments and Protein structure prediction. |
