The Data Science Research Center (DSRC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is hosting the RPI-NSF Workshop on Multiscale Modeling of Complex Data from September 12-14, 2011 at the Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies Auditorium. This workshop will attempt to find solutions to bridge the gap in our knowledge of biological structures and their corresponding functions. This workshop aims to bring together researchers from diverse disciplines around a data centric, multiscale theme for modeling, control, computation, simulation, knowledge extraction, and visualization of complex systems with a focus on knowledge extraction and complexity management. The goal of the workshop is to utilize a multidisciplinary and multiscale approach to understanding and modeling complex systems and their dynamics. Call for participation is available at: http://www.dsrc.rpi.edu/CallWorkshop.pdf Registration can be confirmed at: http://www.dsrc.rpi.edu/Registration-form.docx Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. |
