Description |
|
Accurate annotation of the genomic sequences has remained a bottleneck in most if not all genome sequencing efforts. The model based ab-initio gene prediction has limited accuracy and refined annotation using cDNA or EST evidence is restricted by incomplete sampling of transcripts. Alternative splicing is another challenge of the field. Therefore, the workshop wants to discuss current methods and recent advances of sequence analysis aiming at improved automatic gene annotation as well as new directions of research bridging between knowledge of genes, human nutrition, health, medical treatment and drug design. | |
