This international conference will highlight recent findings in the fields of regulatory and systems genomics, and foster collaborations that will advance the development of a systems-level understanding of gene regulation. It combines the RECOMB satellite meetings on regulatory genomics and systems biology, as well as the Dialogue for Reverse Engineering Assessments and Methods (DREAM). Held at the Hotel Sofitel San Francisco Bay from November 12-15, 2012, the event will feature 15 invited keynote presentations as well as many additional lectures and poster presentations. Possible topics to be discussed include: * Modeling and recognition of regulatory motifs and modules * Regulatory networks, metabolic networks, and proteomic networks * Chromatin state establishment, maintenance, and role in development * Post-transcriptional regulation and small regulatory RNA * Cellular signatures of biological responses and disease states * Phosphorylation, metabolic fluxes, and systematic phenotyping * Mathematical modeling and simulation of biological systems * Methods for systematic validation of high-throughput biological predictions * Approaches for aggregation of results arising from different methodologies DREAM invites researchers to participate in challenges related to cellular network inference and quantitative model building in systems biology. The conference will feature talks by the best performers in this year’s DREAM challenges, including a challenge developed in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute. For more information and to participate, go to http://the-dream-project.org. We also invite submissions of papers and abstracts. Papers selected by the conference’s program committee will receive fast-track submission to Genome Research and the Journal of Computational Biology. Please join us for this exciting meeting. |
