Bio-IT World Europe 2012
(October 9-11, Vienna, Austria) –
http://www.bio-itworldexpoeurope.com

The Fourth Annual Bio-IT World Europe Conference & Expo attracts life sciences, pharmaceutical, informatics and IT professionals from across Europe and the rest of the world to the magnificent cultural location of Vienna, Austria. The venue provides a stimulating three days to share research advances, information trends and new enabling technologies that are driving biomedical research and drug development to new heights. This year’s Bio-IT World Europe will feature four tracks, each running a day and a half, providing dynamic discussion from world-leading scientists in Clinical Genomics; Data Infrastructure and High Performance Computing; Drug Discovery Informatics to Personalized Therapeutics; and Cloud-Based Bioinformatics.

We have invited an outstanding faculty of speakers from academia, medical centers and industry drawn from organizations across Europe as well as North America. We will have a total of seven keynote presentations, including a discussion of drug regulatory trends in Europe and the U.S. featuring Alison Davis (MHRA), Eric Perakslis (FDA) and Luc Verhelst (EMA). Other plenary presentations are from Ian Dix (AstraZeneca), Paul Flicek (EBI), Yike Guo (Imperial College, London) and Hermann Hauser (Amadeus Capital Partners, UK).

Among the many great speakers presenting at Bio-IT World Europe this year will be:

Marc Aldinucci (Torino) | Herbert Auer (Barcelona) | Simon Berkovich (George Washington Univ, US) | Dirk Evers (New York Genome Ctr, US) | Andrew Hopkins (Dundee, UK) | Simon Lovestone (King’s College London, UK) | Rupert Lueck (EMBL Heidelberg) | Robert Lyle (Norway) | Nick Lynch (AstraZeneca UK) | Gholson Lyon (Cold Spring Harbor, US) | Folker Meyer (Argonne Ntl Lab, US) | Corrado Priami (COSBI) | Elmar Pruesse (Max Planck Inst) | Christian Schlötterer (Vienna) | Ted Slater (Selventa, US) | Elia Stupka (San Raffaele)

On the eve of the conference, you can register for optional short courses on various topics in the realm of NGS data analysis and interpretation.

Bio-IT World Europe builds on the strong success of CHI’s flagship Bio-IT World Expo, that celebrated its 10th anniversary this Spring in Boston, USA. Since its debut in 2002, this event has become the premier event showcasing the myriad applications of IT and informatics to the life sciences enterprise, attracting more than 2,000 delegates from dozens of countries as well as more than 100 exhibiting companies. Bio-IT World and CHI are committed to extending their exceptional series of educational programming in Vienna this October. Join us and your peers for three days of invaluable discussion and networking at Bio-IT World Europe. You can find the full conference program at http://www.bio-itworldexpoeurope.com.
