The UK Regional Student Group (RSG-UK) is pleased to announce the first RSG-UK Student Symposium on Computational Biology and Life Sciences to be held on 8th October 2014 in Wales at the Treforest Campus of the University of South Wales. The RSG-UK Student Symposium is targeted towards young/early career computational biologists studying or working in the UK and would provide an opportunity for them to discuss their research interests with others, participate in in-depth discussions, share ideas and receive feedback from more experienced researchers. This symposium will bring together a diverse group of young scientists working on a broad range of topics such as sequence analysis, next-generation sequencing, structural bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics and systems biology. The symposium will include keynote presentations by pioneers in computational biology in the UK. Apart from the talks and posters, there will be a workshop, a presentation made by industry personnels and ample opportunities for participants to have informal discussions and network. |
