Description

The 7th annual Computational & Molecular Biology PhD symposium (formerly named the Computational Biology & Innovation PhD symposium) will be held in the Conway Institute of Biomolecular and Biomedical Research, University College Dublin. The symposium is organised by PhD students studying computational biology and bioinformatics at UCD. The aims of the symposium are to highlight recent advances in computational biology, and to promote the professional and scientific development of students from a diverse range of fields within computational biology. The symposium will provide a platform for local and international investigators at the forefront of their fields to present their research. It will also serve as a forum for international PhD candidates to meet and exchange ideas. In addition, the symposium will provide an opportunity for students of computational biology and bioinformatics to showcase their research to leading companies and industrial representatives in the field.

This two-day event will consist of several structured sessions. Sessions will feature presentations by early career researchers and a keynote lecture from an internationally renowned speaker. PhD students and post-doctoral researchers from around the world working in computational biology are invited to submit an abstract to present their research in either oral or poster format. Students who do not wish to submit an abstract are welcome to join us for what is sure to be an engaging and enjoyable two days of discussion and discovery.
