We are pleased to announce the Combined 2020 Network Modeling Summer School and Hackathon and Multicell Virtual-Tissue Modeling Summer School and Hackathon which will take place at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, USA between Sunday July 26th, 2020 and Sun. Aug 9. All modeling experience levels are welcome. Learn to model your biological system of interest from the ground up with one-on-one help in the summer schools. Biologists, computer scientists, and modelers team up to build research-grade models of biological systems in the hackathons. After-hackathon support helps users in the development of these models in their research. Attendees are welcome to attend whichever components they choose. Articles based on models using these methods have been published in journals ranging from Science and Developmental Cell to PLOS One. Network models will use the open-source Tellurium modeling environment and Virtual Tissue models will use the open-source CompuCell3D modeling environment. Registration is free for all attendees.
