Apply now to join our PhD program in the life sciences. We train the next generation of scientists to study complex biological processes that cannot be adequately understood within the limits of a single discipline. The challenging and innovative program bridges between diverse disciplines and several levels of biological organization.

Training is offered in a range of core and specialised skills; a thesis advisory committee provides individual project guidance. The working language of our school is English; places are fully funded.
We expect applicants to hold an excellent degree in natural or computer science at Masters level by September 2023. You should possess skills and knowledge matching to your intended area of research, plus a high level of motivation. Applicants with degrees obtained outside the European Higher Education Area need to supply scores from the GRE General Test.
The International Max Planck Research School IMPRS “From Molecules to Organisms” program is offered by the Max Planck Institute for Biology Tübingen in conjunction with the Friedrich Miescher Laboratory and the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen, Germany.
