InCoB2014 - 13th International Conference on Bioinformatics
Australia - NSW - Sydney
Jul 31 through Aug 02
This year, APBioNet’s InCoB will be held earlier from 31st July to 2nd August 2014 to run back-to-back with the International Biophysics Congress 2014 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Queensland (3-7 Aug). The main local host is Macquarie University, one of the leading research centres in Australia in the field of Bioinformatics. InCoB2014 will build on the established platform for experts and budding bioinformaticians to discuss and exchange ideas and thoughts on the development of bioinformatics in the Asia-Pacific region.
Early Registration Deadline: 2014-06-01

ECCB’14, the 13th European Conference on Computational Biology
France - Strasbourg
Sep 07 through Sep 10
ECCB’14 is the key European computational biology event in 2014 gathering scientists working at the intersection of a broad range of disciplines including computer science, mathematics, biology, and medicine. New challenges are emerging today in these fields with the recent advances in low-cost ultra-fast sequencing, bio-imaging and big-data approaches. Databases and software are evolving especially rapidly. Nonetheless, new algorithms are still required to improve computing with massive biological or biomedical data. Indeed, multi-scale integrative analyses are struggling to deal with the enormous complexity of biological systems modeling and the "data deluge" that results from next-generation sequencing technologies.
Event Registration: 2014-05-05 through 2014-08-29

The XII Symposium on Bioinformatics / XII Jornadas de Bioinformatica
Spain - Sevilla - Sevilla
Sep 21 through Sep 24
Over the last decade, the Bioinformatics symposiums held in Spain, have received remarkable submissions from computational groups that have led to new biological discoveries. With the aim of encouraging the participation of younger bioinformaticians, this year’s symposium main theme is “Bioinformatics: The New Breed”. A great need in the scientific community is for young scientists who are aware of, and trained, to use methods, tools and approaches that combine large-scale datasets in ways that address important biological questions. One of the main objectives of this meeting is to address exactly this need.

NETTAB 2014 From high-throughput structural bioinformatics to integrative systems biology
Italy - Torino
Oct 15 through Oct 17
The NETTAB 2014 Workshop will be a joint event with the Crystal (cl)Year meeting, in the International Year of Crystallography 2014, and it will be followed by the annual meeting of the Centre for Complex Systems in Molecular Biology and Medicine. The workshop may then represent a virtual bridge between these two events, showing how to manage and elaborate structural and high-throughput proteomics data so that it may be integrated with information from genomics and other life sciences disciplines with the aim of reaching a richer description and a deeper understanding of mechanisms and interactions in the involved system: the human being and its physiological and pathological states.
