Please note NO outside food or beverages can be brought into the exhibit hall. Other products, i.e. packed samples need an individual agreement with Wassermann & Company AG and must be approved a minimum of two weeks prior to the conference opening.

Damage to Premises


No nails, screws or other fixtures may be driven into any part of the premises including the floors. Should any damage occur, the Exhibitor would be invoiced for repair charges incurred.

Please note that if the details are not complete, the delivery may be handed out too late, or refused and sent back.

*It is prohibited for vehicles over 3.5t to drive on Sunday and to load/unload vehicles in the delivery zone.

The Swiss customs also requires certain documents for international consignments. You should contact your courier service for these at an early stage. Deliveries requiring cash payment will be refused. The Congress Center Basel does not accept any responsibility or liability for losses, damage and delays.

Why Sempex?

Exhibitors shipping from abroad and using courier services sometimes find their shipments are delayed as the customs clearance procedures cannot be done without intervention. Sempex can work with you and customs to help with the clearing process. (*Congress Center Basel cannot assist with Customs Clearance)

You can ship your items anytime before the event and Sempex will deliver it in time directly to the booth – no searching at Congress Center or the need to hand carry to the venue.

Sending bigger shipments like pallets etc. it can be an advantage when using general transport company as Sempex can easily accept shipments on your behalf.

Sempex are also able to take care of the full transport service from tour address up to the Booth incl. customs clearance etc.

Consignments to be returned:

Packaged consignments that are to be returned, accompanied by the corresponding documents, must be brought to the appropriate collection point during dismantling and collected within a week. Material that is not deposited in the correct manner will be disposed of.

Demonstrations


Demonstrations and other special activities must be located so that crowds will be comfortably contained within the contracted display space and not blocking any of the aisles. Distracting activities are subject to adjacent exhibitor and ISMB/ECCB approval. Exhibitors may not play loud music on their stand.

Exhibitor After Hours Access


Exhibitors are allowed access to their stands during set up and tear down hours as well as one hour prior to and one hour after official opening hours. Exhibitors requiring access beyond these times, must receive approval from an ISMB/ECCB representative.

The conference organizers through ISMB's official Tourism Basel have a number of hotels available at:
https://www.iscb.org/hotels Please note the Swissotel (connected to the CCB) and the Hyperion hotel (about a 5-minute walk from the CCB) are both considered headquarters hotels for ISMB/ECCB.

Indemnification


It is understood that the exhibitor assumes entire responsibility for and agrees to protect, indemnify, defend and save ISCB, ISMB/ECCB, the Congress Center Basel and their respective consultants, agents, directors, employees, licensees and assigns them harmless from and against all claims, losses and damages to persons or property, governmental charges of fines and attorney's fees arising out of or caused by exhibitor's installation, removal, maintenance, occupancy or the use of or part thereof negligently or otherwise, excluding any such liability caused by the sole negligence of ISCB, ISMB/ECCB, the Congress Center Basel, or its employees and agents.

The exhibitor shall indemnify the ISCB, ISMB/ECCB, the Congress Center Basel, against, and hold it and its representatives harmless from complaints, suits or liabilities resulting from negligence of the exhibitor in connection with the exhibits use of display space. ISCB, ISMB/ECCB, the Congress Center Basel shall have no liability for loss, damage or theft, through any cause, of goods, hand carried items, exhibits, or other materials owned, rented or leased by the exhibitor. Personal effects, souvenir handouts and other small, easily removed valuable items should not be left unattended. In no event will ISCB, ISMB/ECCB, the Congress Center Basel have any liability for incidental, consequential, special, indirect or punitive damages for any harm arising from, or related to, the use of exhibit space under the contract agreement.

Leaflet Distribution


Leaflets may not be distributed from anywhere other than the exhibition stand without receiving prior permission from the Organizers. Leaflets displayed or distributed at any other point throughout the venue, without prior permission, will be removed and destroyed by the Organizers.

Lead Generation


No lead generation technologies are offered at ISMB/ECCB 2019. The conference app available allows delegates to network and exhibitors can use access the app and this method of networking.

Security


ISMB/ECCB will provide security in the exhibit area during all off-hours and will take reasonable precautions to safe guard exhibitor's property. Exhibitors are encouraged to remove any valuable items from the exhibit area each evening. Please note that ISMB/ECCB, ISCB and the Congress Center Basel are not responsible for missing or lost articles at the conference.

Travel Visa Application

Depending on your country of origin, you may require a visa in order to enter Switzerland. Details are available at: https://www.ch.ch/en/entering-switzerland-visa/ 

Invitation letters required for visa applications will be sent with your confirmation after registration and full payment have been received. You must be registered for the conference in order to receive an invitation letter.
