Tutorial Proposals

➡️ Submission deadline: Thursday, December 17, 2026

The purpose of tutorials is to provide attendees with the opportunity to build knowledge, gain hands-on training, develop new skills, or learn about emerging areas of bioinformatics research. Tutorials may include any form of presentation (e.g., brief talks, panel discussions) but must include hands-on exercises.

Further details and the proposal submission link can be found on the Call for Tutorials page.

Proceedings Papers

➡️ Submission deadline: Thursday, January 14, 2027

Submitted papers must follow the OUP template for author submissions to Bioinformatics. No other formats will be accepted. Papers must be submitted as a PDF, and paper length must not exceed 9 pages. The page count is inclusive of all author information, a 250-word abstract, figures (with alt text), tables, and references.

Accepted papers will be published in an open-access, online-only Proceedings Supplement issue of Bioinformatics. Authors of accepted papers will also be provided with a 20-minute oral presentation at the conference.

Technology Track Proposals

➡️ Submission deadline: Thursday, April 29, 2027

The tech track offers organizations an opportunity to showcase software and hardware innovations relevant to the bioinformatics community. Presentations should highlight the practical applications and benefits of the technology being demonstrated.

Full details about tech track presentations and the submission form can be found here. This form requires organizations to share a brief, 50-word description of the talk, as well as a one-page presentation overview.

Please make sure to review the fees associated with a tech track presentation. Note that tech track fees do not include the cost of conference registration.
