Educational Opportunities

For years ISCB has maintained a listing of educational institution URLs for opportunities anywhere in the world to earn a degree or certificate in bioinformatics or related fields. Under the direction of the ISCB Education Committee, we have recently expanded this service to provide details regarding educational programs including focus area, recommended undergraduate degree (for graduate programs), duration to completion of degree or certificate, coursework summary, etc.

The current list is available at www.iscb.org/univ_programs/program_board.php, and can be sorted by Program Focus, Degree Type, University/Institute Name, or Geographic Location. Once programs of interest are identified, a click on each one will access full details about the program offered.

If your institution’s degree or certificate program is not currently listed, please have a person very knowledgeable about the program, preferably a faculty member or department administrator, complete the self-posting form at www.iscb.org/univ_programs/program_post.php. Due to the self-posting nature of this service, the list is in its infancy now as we get the word out about it, but is expanding on a daily basis and frequent visits will feature the latest updates.
