Workshop and Tutorial Submissions
We invite scientists and professionals working in the fields of bioinformatics and computational biology, specifically those aligned with regulatory and systems genomics, to submit high-quality proposals for half-day tutorials or workshops to take place in-person or virtually as part of the RECOMB/ISCB Conference on Regulatory and Systems Genomics with DREAM Challenges 2022.
The Workshop and Tutorial sessions aim to provide an opportunity to discuss current and emergent topics on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology to include platforms and software. These sessions need to be 4 hours or less and will take place on November 7 or 8.
Workshop and tutorials will be held in either a virtual training environment or in-person onsite at the Flamingo Las Vegas Resort. In-person workshops or tutorials will take place on Tuesday, November 8 in the AM and online workshops and tutorials will take place on Monday, November 7 in the AM or PM or Tuesday, November 8 in the AM. Workshop and tutorial leaders, submitting for virtual presentation, should be prepared to teach using online tools such as Zoom.
Guidelines for Proposals
Proposals should containĀ the necessary information for reviewers to judge the importance, quality and community interest in the proposed topic. Each proposed event should have one or more designated organizers and a program. The proposal should contain the following information:
- Title
- Description of the aim or aims of the workshop/tutorial
- Why is it relevant for the community
- Proposed schedule
- Provide the names and affiliations of the organizers
- The length of the proposals should be 500 words including all sections.
- Onsite submissions should be prepared to note any equipment needs associated to successful execution of the tutorial
