CONFERENCE RATES AND INFORMATION

Group Rate: $211.00 single / $211.00 double occupancy

The group rate is for our standard guestroom type. Should you be interested in upgrading to our other accommodations, the following upgrade charges would apply:

- Upgrade to a Junior Suite for an additional $40.00
- Upgrade to a One Bedroom Suite for an additional $100.00
- Upgrade to a Club Room for an additional $75.00
- Upgrade to a Club One Bedroom Suite for an additional $150.00

The above rates are subject to 5.7% Massachusetts State tax, 6.0% Boston City tax, and 2.75% CCF tax, for a total tax of 14.45%. Please note that group rates may not be available before or after the dates contracted above. Upgrade requests are based on availability and upgrade fees are subject to change.

For more than two guests, there will be a $20.00 charge for each additional person in the room. There is no charge for children 17 years or under when sharing a room with parents.


CANCELLATION POLICY FOR INDIVIDUAL RESERVATIONS

To avoid an individual guestroom cancellation charge equal to one night's room and tax, please notify the hotel of any cancellations by 6 p.m. on the day prior to arrival. Please be sure to obtain a cancellation number at the time of cancellation and retain this number for your files.


CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT
Hotel check-in time is after 3:00 p.m. and our check-out time is 12 noon. Anyone arriving earlier than 3:00 p.m. will be checked in as soon as rooms become available; but they should be aware that there may be a wait. On your departure date, your guests should be notified that they may incur a late check-out fee should they check out after 12 noon. The hotel is pleased to arrange for baggage storage for attendees' luggage.


EARLY DEPARTURE FEES
An early departure fee of $75.00 will be assessed to any guest who departs earlier than the date confirmed at check-in. The fee will be automatically posted to the guest folio on or after departure. Emergency or special circumstance situations will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

 

Sheraton Boston Hotel - A message for ISMB Delegates

 

We are thrilled to host the ISMB 2010 Conference and hope that you have a productive and enjoyable stay throughout your time in Boston.  We would like to make you aware of additional security measures at the Sheraton Boston Hotel as required by an in-house convention that is also meeting over the same dates as the ISMB Conference.

Our hotel features an indoor connection to the Hynes Convention Center via the Prudential Center Mall.  When you travel to the convention center via the second floor hallway you will need to show your room key to security.  Conference attendees who are not registered hotel guests will not be allowed into the hotel through this hallway.  If you would like to enter the hotel, you will need to use the outdoor walkway.

Reservation Procedure:

ISMB guests can make reservations by calling 1-800-Westin-1 and requesting a guest room for ISMB 2010.

Important Notice when booking your room

A credit card is required to reserve your room. All rooms require a non-refundable deposit that will be processed prior to your arrival date and credited against the balance. Please note the credit card may not be charged until after the June 23 hotel reservations deadline so please make sure that the card you provide for the deposit will not expire before the start of the conference.  The card provided will ONLY be charged the deposit with the balance for your entire stay due and payable on-site.  Checks will not be accepted for deposits, but may be used on-site to satisfy balance.

A: Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology (ISMB) is the annual meeting of the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB). Over the past eighteen years the ISMB conference has grown to become the largest bioinformatics conference in the world. The ISMB conferences provide a multidisciplinary forum for disseminating the latest developments in bioinformatics. ISMB brings together scientists from computer science, molecular biology, mathematics, and statistics. For those staying at the Sheraton Hotel (connected to the Hynes Convention Center) and wanting to use public transit you can reach the hotel from Boston’s Logan International Airport (BOS) by boarding the blue Massport shuttle bus to the Airport subway station. Take an inbound Blue Line train to Government Center. Change at Government Center for the Green Line. Take an “E” Heath St. bound Green line train to Prudential Station. Exit Prudential Station into Prudential Center mall. At center court make a left into the Prudential Arcade and the hotel will be just past Au Bon Pain. The fare is $2.

Taxi
