Workshop and Tutorial Submissions

We invite scientists and professionals working in the fields of bioinformatics and computational biology to submit high-quality proposals for tutorials, workshops or mini-courses (tutorial program) to take place virtually or in-person as part of at the ISCB-Latin America SoIBio BioNetMX 2022.

The Workshop and Tutorial sessions aim to provide an opportunity to discuss current and emergent topics on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. These sessions can be both 8 hour session over the course of both days or 4 hours sessions on one day and will take place on the 6th and 7th of November 2022.

Workshop and tutorials will be held in either a virtual training environment or onsite in a classroom at the university.  Workshop and tutorial leaders, submitting for virtual presentation, should be prepared to teach using online tools such as Zoom.

We will host up to four simultaneous Workshops or Tutorials.

WELCOME TO ISCB-LA SOIBIO BioNetMX 2022!

ISCB-Latin America SoIBio BioNetMX Conference on Bioinformatics 2022, organized by the Bioinformatics Network Mexico (BioNetMX) together with the Iberoamerican Society of Bioinformatics (SoIBio) and the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB) aims to promote scientific and professional exchange in bioinformatics across Latin America.

Bioinformatics brings together scientists from different disciplines, such as Biology, Computer Science, Informatics, Genomics, Mathematics, Statistics, Ecology, Medicine, etc, to solve relevant biological questions. This conference will provide a forum for rich interaction and to showcase scientific developments. Importantly, this event will help the Bioinformatics community strengthen interactions within Latin America, a region that has shown great potential in the area. Moreover, scientists with no or very little knowledge on bioinformatics will have the opportunity to learn about the new findings in the development of high-end tools for the analysis of their biological data.

The conference will feature:

  • Invited speakers
  • Roundtable networking discussions
  • Talks selected from an open call for abstracts
  • Scientific talks selected from articles submissions to Bioinformatics Advances Journal

ISCB-LA SoIbio BioNetMX 2022 is being planned as a dual channel distribution conference, offering both in-person and virtual attendance.  We hope you can join us in at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Campus Juriquilla: Juriquilla, Querétaro, MX.  If not, consider joining virtual in the conference robust platform.

Featured Topic Areas at ISCB-LA SoIBio BioNetMX 2022:

  • Biomedical Omics
  • Bioinformatics of Microbes and Microbiomes
  • Evolutionary, Comparative and Population Genomics
  • Macromolecular Sequence, Structure, and Function
  • Genome Sequence Analysis
  • Systems Biology and Networks
  • General Bioinformatics/Computational Biology

Call for submissions is now open for:

Proceedings/Papers Submissions (Journal Bioinformatics Advances) 12 August, 2022
