Rocky ’05 Bioinformatics Conference
- Set for Aspen, Colorado in December 2005
ISCB
is hosting the 3rd Rocky Mountain Regional Bioinformatics Conference
(Rocky '05) to be held in Snowmass/Aspen, Colorado, USA from December
9-11, 2005.
The meeting is designed to bring together computational
bioscientists from the North American Rocky Mountain Region to share
research results and build community among the region. A mix of
invited lectures, discussions on topics of regional interest and
short talks from many regional research groups as well as presentations
from outside the region will make up the scientific program.
While the conference is focused regionally, it
will also be of interest to anyone outside the region who wishes
to attend. We encourage those within and outside the region to participate
in this conference and register before the early registration deadline
to take advantage of early bird conference registration fees.
The conference is organized by the University of
Colorado Center for Computational Biology and chaired by Lawrence
Hunter, Ph.D., Director, Computational Bioscience Program, University
of Colorado School of Medicine and Stephen C. Billups, Ph.D., Director,
University of Colorado Center for Computational Biology
Keynote Speakers
Asa Ben-Hur, Assistant Professor,
Department of Computer Science, Colorado State University
Larry Hunter, University of Colorado School of
Medicine
Dr. Kirk E. Jordan, Emerging Solutions Executive,

“Great meeting! I hope to attend next
year and participate more extensively . I liked that the short talks
weren't over-coordinated by topics. Well done. Thank You. "
"Great conference, great location, good
job."
"Great group of people. I came here looking
for collaborators, grad students: I found "one-step removed"
colleagues working same problems, and so, defined collaborative
efforts during 5-minutes breaks and I found 3 possibilities as additions
to lab-team! I want to share information with colleagues who would
then be more likely to attend next time."
