Getting to Cambridge from Heathrow Airport

The most straightforward and convenient way to travel from Heathrow Airport to Cambridge is by coach.

By Coach (Recommended)

Direct coach services operate from all Heathrow terminals to Cambridge city centre, with a journey time of approximately two hours. Services run 24 hours a day, making this a flexible option regardless of arrival time.

Fares start from around £37 for a return journey (approximately $48, depending on exchange rates). Luggage is stored securely in the hold, allowing you to travel comfortably.

When booking, please select “Cambridge Parkside City Centre” as your destination. The service also stops at Stansted Airport and Cambridge Trumpington before arriving in the city centre.

From Parkside, Robinson College is a short taxi ride away (approximately £8 / $10). Taxis are available via ride-hailing apps or from the nearby rank on Drummer Street.

By Train

Travelling by train is another option, although it involves more connections.

From Heathrow, take the Piccadilly line (London Underground) to King’s Cross station. From there, direct trains run to Cambridge.

Upon arrival at Cambridge station, Robinson College can be reached by:

  • Bus: The U1 or U2 services (from Bus Stop 8 towards Eddington or Girton Corner) stop directly outside the College. A single fare is £3 ($4) and can be paid either using cash or card.
  • Taxi: Taxis are readily available outside the station and costs are approximately £8 / $10.

Return train fares are typically around £77 (approximately $99). Please note that train services do not operate 24 hours a day, so we recommend checking schedules in advance.
