A Global Community

  • ISCB Student Council

dedicated to facilitating development for students and young researchers

  • Affiliated Groups

The ISCB Affiliates program is designed to forge links between ISCB and regional non-profit membership groups, centers, institutes and networks that involve researchers from various institutions and/or organizations within a defined geographic region involved in the advancement of bioinformatics. Such groups have regular meetings either in person or online, and an organizing body in the form of a board of directors or steering committee. If you are interested in affiliating your regional membership group, center, institute or network with ISCB, please review these guidelines (.pdf) and send your exploratory questions to Diane E. Kovats, ISCB Chief Executive Officer (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).  For information about the Affilliates Committee click here.

Cancer Network of B-Cell Lymphoma: NetBioV

The network shows a gene regulatory network of B--Cell lymphoma inferred with BC3NET from gene expression data. The color--highlighted modules correspond to biological pathways defined by the Gene Ontology database and the connecting paths correspond to the shortest connections on which information can be exchanged between these pathways. For the visualization we used NetBioV, an R package we developed for the graphical representation of large networks in biology and medicine.

RESPOND TO DREAM CHALLENGES

2015 DREAM Challenges, powered by Sage BionetworksDear Colleague,

We are pleased to update you on DREAM9.5 and DREAM10 Challenges.

DREAM9.5 started in late 2014 and will continue in 2015. The DREAM10 Challenges have started in June 2015 and will continue through 2015.

Best performers in the other DREAM9.5 and DREAM10 Challenges will be invited to present at the RECOMB/ISCB Conference on Regulatory and Systems Genomics, with DREAM Challenges (November 15-18, Philadephia, PA) with partial travel expenses covered by the organizers.
