The ISMB 2020 Steering Committee and ISCB Leadership have been closely monitoring the growing global COVID-19 outbreak. Because of increasing concerns with travel along with guidance to minimize group gatherings, ISMB 2020 will be held as a 100% virtual conference, July 13-16.
The health and safety of our participants, sponsors, exhibitors, invited speakers and the local community in Montreal are paramount.
Here is what you need to know:
Registration refunds
Existing registrations will automatically convert into online registrations. Participants that do not wish to attend the meeting virtually can cancel their registration and receive a full refund.
The differences between the original registration fee for physical attendance and the virtual online registration fee will be refunded at your request at the completion of ISMB 2020. To support the Society in this difficult time, participants have the option of contributing their partial registration refund to ISCB to assist with the substantial cost associated with the cancellation of the physical meeting. If you wish to receive your partial refund, please email
Controlled access to meeting content
Only registered participants will have online access to the conference. Presenters concerned about unpublished data can request that specific slides not be shown. In exceptional cases, the presenter can request that none of their slides be provided online.
Certificates of attendance/recognition of presentation
You will receive a certificate of presentation as well as participation for the conference. Certificates of participation will be delivered after the conference once your attendance (log on once daily) is confirmed. Poster presenters will also receive a certificate for their uploaded presentation.
