Volunteer Opportunities

ISMB 2003 needs you!  We are looking for approximately 60 student volunteers to work at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from 29 June  - 3 July  2003.  This will give many of you a chance to network with some of the world's most outstanding computational biologists and to learn a whole lot more about the fast-growing field of bioinformatics.  Jobs include everything from AV work, manning the information booths, coat/bag check, security, lost and found, conference bag stuffing, crowd control, speaker liaison work, badge inspection, etc.

Volunteers are expected to assist for approximately 4 hours per day during the conference dates.  In return, volunteers are given discounted conference registration, free food and two conference T-shirts (which must be worn throughout the conference).  Travel (airfare) to and from the conference for volunteers from outside Brisbane will not be covered.
